Hero Shots is a headshot studio based in North York, Toronto. We work with businesses, actors, and creative professionals who need headshots that hold up, in studio or on location across the GTA.
The studio is run by Dan Pearce, who spent close to a decade as a lighting technician and gaffer on productions including Suits and Top Chef. That experience shapes every session: studio lighting built to replicate soft, natural window light.

No experience needed. Most people who book have never had professional photos taken. You get direction on posing and expression the whole way through, and the poses are simple and natural, nothing complicated to learn.

Most clients do their own hair and makeup, and natural looks photograph best. If you want a makeup artist, you're welcome to book one and come done, or bring them along for touch-ups.

Bring whatever you feel comfortable and confident in. Layered fabrics, knitwear, and structured pieces tend to photograph well, and neutral or pastel tones work nicely. Not sure if something works? Bring it anyway. I might not shoot everything you bring, but I can't shoot what's not there.

After your session you get an online gallery of the shoot. You pick your favourites, and the finals are retouched and delivered digitally.

Yes. Professional lustre prints are available through my lab, including standard 8x10 casting prints for actors. Prints are $15 each or 5 for $60, ordered after your session. Larger sizes available on request.

Yes. Team sessions run at the North York studio or at your office. Everyone gets the same lighting and framing, so the results look consistent across your website and LinkedIn pages. Contact us with your headcount for a quote.

Yes. We shoot corporate headshots at your office anywhere in the GTA with a mobile studio setup. Same lighting, same backdrop, consistent results across your whole team. For on-location bookings, contact us for a quote.

Sessions take place at the studio in North York, 312 Dolomite Dr, Unit 218. Free parking is available on site.

Not a problem. Everything can be set up in advance so you show up and get photographed.

Your online gallery uploads live as we shoot, so you can start browsing images right from your phone during the session. Your first professionally retouched image is delivered within 24 hours. If you choose additional images afterward, those are delivered within 5 business days of your selection.

Your Hero Session is reserved exclusively for you, so the full session fee of $299 + HST is due at the time of booking.
If you need to reschedule, simply provide at least 48 hours' notice, and I'll happily move your appointment to another available date.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, are non-refundable.
