A natural-looking headshot can involve quite a bit of direction. Where you look, how you sit and what happens between photographs can all affect your expression. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to do any of it.

The goal is not to own as many finished files as possible. It is to have enough strong options that you can submit with a clear reason for choosing each one.

An actor submitting for a dramatic role, a lawyer updating a company website and a business owner creating social-media content may all need photographs of themselves, but they don’t need the same photographs.
